When starting our company the very first project selected for the ROG Ownership Model was PGA Village in Port St Lucie….the new home to the 28,000 PGA of America Members. It was, and is, one of the very best values in the golf world, with several Tom Fazio and Pete Dye designs in addition to a 35 acre learning & practice centre that is truly state of the art.

One of the ways we sold our first 40 buyers in this project was by using a golf marketing strategy specifically targeted at golfers. Our feeling was simple. Combine great golf courses, a US Sunbelt setting, terrifically affordable real estate values and showcase it to golfers in a low-key relaxed educational manner. The result was instant success with sales looking after themselves.

Continuing this strategy, ROG has developed programs that golf professionals and those active in the golf world, media or travel will find particularly interesting.

ROG’S Golf Charity Tournament Sponsorships

Golf charity tournaments have become more and more popular each year with some cities having over 4,000 per spring & summer. ROG has developed a unique way to give back to the charities we partner with, while gathering exposure for the Resort Owner Group ownership approach and new resort home locations.

Below is a typical easel board that is at a par three hole where ROG provides a grand prize to be won by one of the days participants. The board tells the story….basically each golfer tries to put the ball in the 16’ Mystery Square on the green not near the actual hole and win a free resort home week to one of our great resort destinations (average value is $2,000 plus). If more than one wins during the day, then a draw is held after the event at the luncheon or dinner. Whether some one wins or not, we donate a week to the charity silent or live auction with a minimum bid…typically the week is worth double or triple the minimum bid amount.

Charity or organizers win:

  • By providing a feature prize to attract more golfers to their event
  • By occasionally charging golfers a nominal fee at hole to try for the square
  • By using the week as a way to generate $1000+ at the auction

Golf Pros win:
